Hobart Community Legal Centre

HCLS provides a range of legal information and advice services to assist and foster community awareness of the law throughout Tasmania and to provide free legal information, advice and referral to the general public in southern Tasmania.

HCLS administer the Tasmanian Law Handbook a free teaching and learning resource, for teachers and students, for people interested in the law, and for anyone who is looking for some more information about an issue. Topics covered include crime, family law and consumer law.

Additionally, the HCLS website contains a number of free information brochures including ‘Dealing with Debt’, the ‘Magistrates Court (Youth Justices Division)’ and ‘Dealing with Centrelink’. The brochures are available here
